During the holidays our website has had a bit of a makeover. We want a visit to our website to be a bit like chatting with a friend. It's full of stories about people, places and things at Playcentre. Have a look around and share your stories and help us bring our website alive. Have a look at www.canterburyplaycentre.org.nz and send Dalene@canplay.org.nz some feedback.
For the website we need your centre stories and we need opening hours, contact information, a blurb about the centre and photos [with all the permissions].
#PlaycentreCPA and #BabiescanplayNZ
If you're using Instagram and you post your Playcentre photos please help us to get these two hashtags going .
We have two vacancies at Playcentre. One job as a Property Project Coordinator to help us manage all the building projects; and a Communications Officer to help us to write stories about Playcentre and their whānaua. You can see more information about both jobs here.
Playcentre Awareness is celebrated the week of 6 March. This is a big year for Playcentre as we are celebrating 75 years of Playcentre! We are planning some exciting celebrations. The theme will be 'Good Clean Fun' and we're planning to celebrate that with 5 days of messy play! Keep an eye out for more information next week and get your messy play recipes ready.
If not already done so please send into CPA Office your centre's office bearer change form update from last year's AGM and audited accounts for year ended 31.8.15 either by post PO Box 7787, Sydenham, Christchurch 8240 or email email@example.com
Course 4, Course 3 and one Course 2 block workshops are now open for bookings. You can register for these workshops on our website.
Education programmes will be posted on the Canterbury Education Facebook page as soon as they are finalised. Please share these posts on your centre Facebook page. We want to see many centres take on training this year!

Bags for Good Neighbourhood'
You can help support Russley Playcentre to raise funds for their outdoor play area. When you are at the checkout at The Warehouse on Blenheim Road please ask for a cardboard disc to place in a voting container for 'Bags for Good Neighbourhood' fundraiser, thank you. At the end of a six month period funds raised will be given to Russley Playcentre according to a percentage of total votes. So let's go shopping everyone at The Warehouse : Where Everyone Gets a Bargain!
If you're shopping at The Warehouse Northlands please take the opportunity to put some tokens in the box for Redwood Playcentre who have been selected to participate in the 'Bags for Good Neighbourhood' promotion, thank you. The more tokens received after six months the more money will be donated to put towards the painting of the exterior of the centre. An ad is also on their public Facebook page so feel free to share it.
