Playcentre isn't a particular activity or subject to learn; nor is it simply a place you go or a date in the diary. For Bec and Paul Playcentre is a second home, an extension of their family and the heart of their community. For their daughters Isla and Annabella it is a place where ‘anything is possible’.

Please note this message from the Federation:
Part of the restructure included the intention to apply for grants/donations for computer hardware such as laptops or tablets, unfortunately this is not currently a priority so we are encouraging Centres to apply for grants or donations if they have the ability. We don’t have any specific recommendations for specs for the hardware, however we do suggest centres ensure that the hardware will be able to run the necessary applications such as the SMS system, Xero, Office 365 etc.
A reminder that if you or your child has a case of vomiting or diarrhoea that you must remain absent from Playcentre until 48 hours after the last bout. Please remember that you must contact your centre when absent.
Please email your fire drill data to email@example.com

Proposed Changes at Ministry of Social Development
Disestablishment of Childcare Co-ordinator Role at WINZ
MSD is consulting with employees on some proposed changes to childcare co-ordination services and it is "proposed" that the childcare co-ordinator role be disestablished. The childcare co-ordinator role has changed significantly since it was first established in 2004 and a large portion of the role's transactional work has already been centralised. MSD is proposing to centralise the remaining transactional ability and are working through their approach to provide a continued level of customer service. At this stage the changes are only proposed. No decisions have been made. MSD expect to know the outcome in September with further details to be provided at that time. What impact do you feel this will have on our service at Playcentres?
To provide feedback to Penny Rounthwaite/National Commissioner please visit www.workandincome.govt.nz (WINZ National Office) and also to Jill Clyne/WINZ local office - firstname.lastname@example.org, thank you.
