Greatest Game of Tag

Canterbury has made history playing the Greatest Game of Tag. What an event it was.  We hope you all had as much fun as we did playing the game, visiting new centres, connecting with people and  sharing the aroha over the hills, down the dales, through the streets, in the sun, the wind AND the rain!

We still want to keep sharing all the stories connected to this amazingly sucessful event.  Check these out on the facebook page and please feel free to add your centre's stories and photos.  Email Anna Steel - anna@canplay.org.nz if you would like to share.

Rest Home

Paying it forward in our community is a wonderful thing to do  .For the past three terms we have had a small group of families visiting Essie Summers rest home in Columbo St. This is meaningful for both the residents at the home and the children and whanau who attend. We spend just 45 minutes on a Wednesday morning from 10.45 till 11.30 putting a smile on some of our senior citizens faces. The activities co ordinator has toys available and we have some lovely interactions. We would love some more families to join us so if you are interested in making someones day please contact Anna Steel – anna@canplay.org.nz for more details.
