The 2017 General Meeting is being held Tuesday 4 July 2017 @ Hagley Community College Cafeteria kicking off at 7pm. You are all invited.
The theme is Matariki so please feel to add a bit of sparkle to this event.
What does it mean to be whanau led?
Playcentre is a whanau or parent led early childhood service where we work together to provide quality sessions for our tamariki. Some Playcentres choose to pool their qualifications to meet licensing requirements and other Playcentre's choose to employ a curriculum leader to support their sessions.
At the Association we have been reviewing how we support our Playcentres as whanau led services. It would be great to hear how your stories of how whanau led works for you. Please send to me firstname.lastname@example.org
This year a huge number of parents took part in the Course 2 programme. Keep your brain sharp and carry on with Course 3. Meet more like minded people, learn what is happening in other centres and have more awesome discussions.
We are currently running a 2 tier programme. One is for students who are about to start the other one is for students who have started already and can finish the Course by the end of term 3. This set up keeps it manageable for participants. Book your workshops here: https://www.canterburyplaycentre.org.nz/page/course-three.html
This is the time to be embracing and celebrating Matariki. If you would like to share your stories or events with the Playcentre network, please email our wonderful story teller Frances - email@example.com
Planning a KidsFest event or an open day. Download a template here https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2ze5_xgNOUXY1c4bnMtR1MxRFk The templates are in PowerPoint. You can change the information for your centre.

ELI - IMPORTANT INFORMATION
It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that we have your enrolment forms for all children enrolled as of the 1st June 2017, including those that have left on or after the 1st June 2017. Please also ensure that we have the identification with these - eg birth certificate/passport.
In the last week of term we will require copies of your DAILY REGISTERS FOR JUNE. Please scan and email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or drop into the Association, PRIOR TO THE END OF THIS TERM. Our data entry personall will be working on these over the school holidays.
The Ministry of Education require that we have all our tamariki in the system, along with their June attendance, by the 31st July, and we must allow time to have this data entered. If this data is not entered, you will NOT received bulk funding for these children.
